Learn about the many services and benefits available to Johns Hopkins SAIS alumni.

As a special member of both Johns Hopkins SAIS and the broader John Hopkins University alumni network, you receive a number of benefits to enhance your personal and professional endeavors and reconnect with the school.

Your alumni email account is fully functional, like any other email system. You may also use an email program such as Outlook to configure your account to receive and send email.

Please know that this is a new separate email account, different from that which you used as a student. For questions or to request your alumni email account, contact [email protected].
 

Alumni who wish to visit the new Bloomberg Center in D.C. should email [email protected] to schedule an appointment in advance with a member of the Development and Alumni Relations team. We appreciate the excitement from our community about the new campus and want to ensure you have an enjoyable visit. You may also access the campus by registering to attend events happening in the building, which are highlighted in our events section of the newsletter.

Alumni who wish to visit the SAIS Europe campus should email [email protected]. Alumni who wish to visit the Hopkins-Nanjing Center should email [email protected].

SAIS Global Careers Support

  • Guidance & Advice: Alumni can access group coaching to session to ask career-related questions, receive guidance from our coaches, get recommended resources and get referrals to more in depth discussions with a coach.

  • Global Careers Events: Global Careers offers a wide variety of career events that are open to students and alumni on Handshake. This includes industry panels, employer events, and more.

SAIS & JHU Alumni Career Events

  • SAIS Alumni Events: SAIS Development and Alumni Relations teams and alumni leaders around the world host regular events throughout the year and sends invitations to events open to and specially hosted for alumni.  If you are not receiving event invitations or the SAIS Alumni Connect newsletter, update your information to get on their email list.

  • Odyssey Programs: The Johns Hopkins Alumni Association offers a wide selection of non-credit, personal enrichment courses and workshops taught by Johns Hopkins alumni, faculty, and global community experts through its Odyssey lifelong learning program.

  • Alumni Life Design Experience (ALDE): This program supports members of our Hopkins community at a time in their lives when they are looking to make a change. Regardless of your age, background or current life situation, the Alumni Life Design Experience will give you tools and clarity to take that next step toward fulfillment in your career.

Networking & Alumni-to-Alumni Support

  • OneHop: A platform that offers alumni-to-alumni networking, an easily searchable alumni directory, and opportunities to connect with our many alumni communities. Click here to create an account, need help? Contact [email protected].

  • SAIS LinkedIn Network: An extensive network of over 17,000 alumni, LinkedIn is a key place to find contacts to expand your network and find mid-career jobs references.

  • Global SAIS Communities: SAIS has alumni communities around the world.  Whether you are planning for a future trip, moving for a new job, or exploring opportunities, they are great places to connect and seek advice. If you’d like help connecting with alumni leaders or want to become one in your city, please contact [email protected].

  • After commencement, SAIS alumni will retain their JHED ID for six months, enabling access to most licensed library databases during that time.

  • KnowledgeNet, a selection of online resources, is available to all alumni free of charge. For more information, contact [email protected]

  • In Washington D.C., alumni can request free borrowing from the collections at any JH Library. Please contact the Irene and Richard Frary Library at the Hopkins Bloomberg Center for more information: [email protected]

  • In Bologna, alumni are welcome to consult the Robert H. Evans Library at SAIS Europe and borrow books from the general circulation stacks. Please contact Ludovica Barozzi ([email protected]), public services coordinator.


Our Libraries

Alumni and graduates of full-time Johns Hopkins SAIS-affiliated programs, including the Bologna Center Diploma and Hopkins-Nanjing Center Certificate, receive a tuition discount of 50% off degree tuition rates in the fall, spring and summer terms, space permitting. Offerings include international relations, economics, security and intelligence, policy studies, development, conflict management, regional studies, languages and more.

The Johns Hopkins Alumni Association launched OneHop, our upgraded online alumni directory and networking program. OneHop builds on our previous GoHopOnline platform to offer improved alumni-to-alumni networking, an easily-searchable alumni directory, and opportunities to connect with our many alumni communities. OneHop will be your one stop to connect with fellow JHU and Johns Hopkins SAIS alumni and to support current undergrad and grad students.
 
If you were a previous GoHopOnline user, your profile will transfer to OneHop, and your registration process will be fast-tracked.
